Application
1. 1, 2-Dimethylimidazole is a blowing agent for polyurethane flexible rigid, semi-rigid and slabstock foams based on polyester polyols in order to extend the pot life, fasten the reaction and increase the final crosslinker density. It is classified as the group known as polyurethane gel catalysts.
2. 1, 2-Dimethylimidazole can also be used as a blowing agent which is added to the latest generation of refrigerant.
3. 1, 2-Dimethylimidazole is the precursor for the synthesis of imidazolium ionic liquid.
4. 1, 2-Dimethylimidazole is the accelerator of epoxy resins
