When fabrics of different shades are washed together, there exists the danger that the dye of the colored fabric is washed out into the washing water. Thus fabrics might be recolored accidentally. N-Vinylpyrrolidone/N-Vinylimidazole copolymer can prevent this.
Dye transfer is triggered by higher water temperature, longer cycle time and much higher surfactant concentration in the wash cycle. To avoid a kind of re-deposition of dyes or colorants, N-Vinylpyrrolidone/N-Vinylimidazole copolymer is incorporated into the laundry formulation.
N-Vinylpyrrolidone/N-Vinylimidazole copolymer can be widely used in the washing after dying of textile industry and laundry of home care industry.
